Welcome to OJP's New Blog!!

The Office of Justice and Peace of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond is launching new efforts to connect with Social Ministers at Parishes across our Diocese. We've been "tweeting" since September and in the next few weeks, we'll launch our brand new website. You can witness the transition by visiting us at www.richmonddiocese.org/OJP!

We hope that this blog will enable us to share some thoughts and reflections about the work of Social Minsitry in general, and some timely insights into the work of our priority areas of Prison Ministry, Respect Life Ministries, and Global Solidarity and Haiti Ministries. We also hope that we can use all of the communication vehicles available to us through modern technology to reach the people of our Diocese and beyond, and to continue to proclaim the Gospel and put ourselves at the service of all people who are vulnerable and poor in our communities and our world.

We will invite OJP Staff as well as Social Minsitry Staff and Volunteers at Parishes across the CDR to share their perspectives, experiences, joys, and challenges, hoping that several voices will challenge us to grow in love and action, and to deepen our commitment to the Church's mission of service to the world.

We hope you'll check us out from time to time, and if there's ever anything that OJP can do for you, please contact us at OJP@cccofva.org!!
